Trip Planning
Plan what to visit on a trip. Plan items are places to visit that GeoPulse matches against actual stays. Reconstruction fills in missing parts of a trip by generating GPS points from stays and movements you describe.
📄️ Save a trip reconstruction
Generates GPS points from the reconstruction segments and stores them for the trip owner. Points that already exist are skipped. Then starts a timeline regeneration from the earliest new point and returns its job ID.
📄️ Preview a trip reconstruction
Checks a reconstruction request and returns how many GPS points it would create, and for which time range. A reconstruction describes missing parts of a trip as a list of stays and movements (with optional waypoints) so GeoPulse can generate GPS points for them. Nothing is saved.
📄️ Search places to plan
Searches by name for places to add to a trip plan: the user's favorites, previously geocoded locations, and results from the external geocoding provider. Pass coordinates to prefer results near them. The response says whether the external search worked, so a provider problem is not mistaken for no results.
📄️ List plan items
Returns the places planned for a trip, in plan order, with their visit status.
📄️ Add a plan item
Adds a place to visit to a trip. Requires edit access to the trip.
📄️ Reorder plan items
Sets the order of the trip's plan items. Returns the items in their new order.
📄️ Get the planned route
Returns a line through the trip's plan items in plan order. Each leg follows roads or paths when a Valhalla routing server is configured, and is a straight line otherwise, or when it is too long to route.
📄️ Update a plan item
Changes a plan item, such as its title, location, planned day, or notes.
📄️ Delete a plan item
Removes a place from the trip plan.
📄️ Mark a plan item as visited or not
Overrides automatic visit matching for a plan item: `CONFIRM_VISITED` (optionally with `visitedAt`), `REJECT_VISIT`, or `RESET_TO_AUTO`.
